We love books.  Actually I really think Elias does like books, but I’m probably the bigger culprit at this point.  I love going to the library and picking out books for us to read together.  He understands turning pages, and I think he enjoys the pictures.

Do you see the book for me in that stack?  The Pioneer Woman Cooks: Recipes from an Accidental Country Girl.  After a first flip through, it looks fabulous.  Totally our kind of cooking.  It will be on my Christmas list!

We also do a lot of playing.  I build cool towers and Elias knocks them down.  Oh, and we listen, sing, and dance to Raffi!  Raffi is who I remember from my childhood and it totally takes me down memory lane.  Singable Songs For The Very Young: Great With A Peanut-Butter Sandwich would make a great Christmas present for those of you with little ones in the family.

And I am so grateful for the car seat in the corner.  Not sure what Elias’ fascination with it is, but it entertains him for a good 20 minutes at a time.  Time for me to get a few things done!
