We had a big ultrasound today at our 18 week mark. We figured that if baby Barlow cooperated we would find out the sex. First I thought it was a girl, then boy, then girl. Of course after thinking about all the darling skirts and dresses I could make, I was sure it was a boy. A boy it is! We are thrilled and filled with anticipation for February to arrive. I feel like I have that much more of a connection with the baby knowing the sex. Maybe now I will start preparing for his arrival…or maybe I’ll just put it off a while longer.
We are looking for a good Scandinavian name, so if you know one feel free to share!
Inrgid and Tony. Congrats! I am so ectied for you both and a little boy will be such fun! And I just have to say-I love reading your blog-you capture your life is such a beautiful way!
How exciting! Can’t wait to meet the little guy! Have any ideas on how you’ll design the nursery? Bill wanted a baseball theme (regardless of whether it was a girl). I’ll pass along my “name book” when I find it & when we’re done with it here in a couple weeks!
YEAH!!! SO excited that you found out it’s a BOY!!! I have had a little something for you sitting here for WEEKS, but I need your address again:) Will you e-mail it to me please…kristinawilberg@gmail.com.
Also, you are THE CUTEST pregnant lady:) I have a million name books, but the first name that came to my head was BJORN…Matt has a cousin with that name and he’s super cool:)
Anyways, congrats times a million on your healthy baby boy. It does feel good to know, you are right, there is a deeper connection. talk to you soon.

Boys are the best! 🙂
You look ADORABLE by the way!!!
Ingrid…
I work with a woman who has named all of her children by their Scandinavian ancestors’ names. Obviously, I thought of you and Tony when she told me this. Anyway, her boy is named Torger (spelling?)…I think they call him Tor.
