I had some fun in my sewing room yesterday. I have so many projects that I want to do before baby #2 arrives in less than 2 months. I’m just not sure how much time or energy I will have for sewing after his arrival, so I am feeling the push to have my fun now. One of the things I have been wanting to make is the Gathered Clutch by Noodlehead. I love how it turned out! (I added the wrist strap.) I have a list of people that I think would really like them…I’m thinking some surprise packages in the mail are due up with this one! Yippee!
As a mom, there is a place for a big bag to toss all the extras you need when out and about, but I also found early on that sometimes a girl just needs a phone, credit card, and keys for running quick errands with baby in tow. The Gathered Clutch fits this perfectly.
I also made this fabric bucket with the help of this tutorial. I added a little more height on my lining to show it off a bit more. I also skipped the “wadding” part…I’m not even sure what that is…I think it is batting. It turned out ok. I’m not in love with it, but I like it. I think it will end up in baby #2’s room for…well…baby things I guess.
I love that you are nesting in the form of sewing! atta girl!
