I made this little quilt yesterday and finished the binding today–finished size=12.5×12.5. I was looking for a project for some of my civil war fabrics and this was a good one. There is something about civil war fabrics that gets me! The pattern is called A Little Star Struck and is out of the latest American Patchwork and Quilting Magazine (June 2009). If you are new to quilting there are a number of quilting magazines out there, but American Patchwork and Quilting is one of my favorites. A good mix of traditional and contemporary. They also do stories on quilters/designers, and the history of their beginnings and the pictures of their studios is so inspiring!
PS–of course since this project is so small I didn’t really use up much of my civil war fabric stash…what a dilemma to have! 🙂
