Sneaking some stitching in today while children are supposed to be napping.  I’m going old school with cross stitch.  Rather excited about a design I put together!!  hmmm…maybe there is more stitching in my future…

I dyed the cross stitch fabric with tea using cold water since I wasn’t sure if the material would shrink with hot water.  Not much was happening with the cold tea bags so I threw in a splash of my father-in-laws still warm coffee.  ah-ha! It worked.  I let it sit for a couple hours, rinsed it well with cold water, and dried it using the iron.  Probably not how you are supposed to do it, but sometimes it’s just easiest to improvise.
